The cabin is located on the Onsøy peninsula, between Slevik and Vikene, not far from Fredrikstad town centre. From here it is a relatively short walk to Hankøsundet with bathing spots, a café and a sailing club with long traditions. A little further north in the sound, a ferry runs to wonderful Hankø with its spa hotel and lovely walking areas. Slevikkilen with Buvikstranda and Mærrapanna/Geitøya are other lovely, well-known recreational spots in the area.

Hankø and Vikene are known for sailing; Fredrikstad Sailing Club is based at Andersenslippen with a range of events for young and old throughout the season – KNS organises a number of regattas at Hankø every year with participants from Norway and abroad (Hankø Raceweek etc.), and the Norwegian Championship in the Killing class is also held annually.

From Fredrikstad: Drive through Gressvik and follow Vikeneveien past Møklegård and Slevik. Then take Kasperklova to the right after Skjellumveien. Then take the steep side road up to the right. Park at the end of the road and follow the path a little way into the woods and over a stream. Then walk up onto the plateau, which has relatively little vegetation.

It is assumed that the property will have a parking space; a parking space can be purchased from the landowner for the area.

The space is on the right-hand side, just below the yellow cabin, at the far end of the side road.

The price for parking is set at NOK 115,000 + preparation works. The right will be registered as an encumbrance on the landowner's property.
